“ What went well? EVERYTHING. I grew up in Paramount and always heard people talk about this place but never tried it out until recently. It has easily been one of our go to spots now and we're here 3-4x/month! Staff is beyond wonderful (Melanie is a sweetheart!) and the food is so fresh + delicious. The vibes are always great here! “ This place is great for lunch and dinner. We went for dinner tonight around 6:30pm, busy but had lots of tables open, they play alternative rock and sometimes pop music everyday at a decent volume and the lights are low with black out windows it's a really nice atmosphere. We ordered 3 rolls; fire scallop roll, rainbow roll, and moon night roll. My boyfriend also order the dinner Bento combo which comes with 1 main (bulgogi beef) and 1 side (5 gyoza). He order a beer and I got a coke, our total came out to be a little over $70. Each roll was around $14 and bento box was $20. Our server was super nice and they have waiters walking around periodically checking in. This is definitely one of my favorite sushi restaurants :) ”

“ A great Japanese restaurant for sushi! We reserved a table and got sat at one of the booths. The decor is traditional Japanese sushi bar with low lighting and a great music playlist. Perfect for a date night! We ordered a tasty strawberry shake which comes with a free appetizer on weekdays. We ordered several orders of sushi, a chefs special, and a roll. All of the plates were so delicious. The fish cuts were so thick and fresh! Even just the wasabi is great. Service was excellent too! Overall a great experience and will returning for sure. ”
“ Came here on our way from LA to SD. It's a cute little place in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Lots of places to sit inside. We went on a Thursday and it wasn't too busy. Everything we had was good. I'll break everything down below. We started off with the fried corn. The sauce on it was super tasty! Nice crunch. The gyoza was okay. Although perfectly cooked it lacked some flavor. Would pass on that next time. All the sushi we had was great. One of us had an avocado roll and the avocado wasn't ripe so that's our only gripe but honestly we would reorder everything we got! And that's coming from someone who stayed in Japan for a few months and is super picky. The bento box with teriyaki chicken was good as was the udon soup. We finished the night off with their macaroon with strawberry ice cream which was the perfectly sweet not too large end of a great meal. Special shout out to Richard, our server, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Will return! ”
“ This is a fantastic sushi restaurant with a very good menu. The jalapeño poppers were hands down the best I have ever had. The fish was fresh and the service was excellent. I had the salmon belly sashimi and it melted in my mouth. I also had the blue crab castle -- it comes with truffle oil which is often overpowering -- but was nicely done and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Last, but definitely not least, we had Camilla as our server and she made our evening more fun. She made several excellent recommendations and was fun to talk to. Thanks for a nice dinner! ”
